The devices add easy and secure display control and automation to workspaces of all sizes, with automatic display control via an occupancy sensor available depending on the model.
Extron has started shipping the WC Pro Series workspace automation controllers.
The WC Pro 150 OCS and WC Pro 160, which were unveiled last spring, are designed to add easy and secure display control and automation to workspaces of all sizes.
Depending on the model chosen, users benefit from automatic display control via an occupancy sensor – either built into the controller or easily integrated as part of a streamlined room automation system
The controllers will automatically power on a display via CEC when a person enters a room and turn it off at the end of the meeting when no motion is detected.
The built-in web page allows users to configure automatic display control over Ethernet, RS-232, or IR. Both models also support Power over Ethernet.
Users can add a LinkLicense to expand the control capabilities to multiple displays and devices. This will also provide access to the full line of TouchLink Pro touchpanels and Network Button Panels to support projects that require a user interface.
Once LinkLicense for the WC Pro Control Processor has been applied, LinkLicense for User Interfaces can be introduced. This provides an easy way to use mobile devices or computers as primary control interfaces.
Casey Hall, Extron’s chief marketing officer, said: “Our WC Pro Series is another way Extron is adding the benefits of automation to today’s workspaces.
“These compact, integration-friendly controllers are perfect for any space where you’d like convenient display power control.”
