Panasonic has announced an addition to its LCD portable projector lineup, with the VW340 series. The new series features two models with wireless capability, PT-VW345N and PT-VX415N, and two non-wireless ready models, PT-VW340 and PT-VX410. They are being aimed at use in both education and corporate markets.
The VW340 Series offfers brightness of up to 4,200 lumens and WXGA resolution, with a contrast ratio of 4,000:1 which has doubled compared to the previous models of VW330 series.
The models also feature longer lamp life of 6,000 hours in Eco Mode as well as a filter life of 6,000 hours.
The PT-VW345N and PT-VX415N projectors have built-in Miracast wireless capability, which allows wireless transmission of content of up to 1080p video files from Miracast compatible devices.
Content-sharing is made via Miracast-certified Android (version 4.2 or above) devices or Windows (Intel WIDI version 3.5 or above) PCs in group work, lectures, and meetings.
On top of this new functionality, the two wireless models also feature iOS and Android applications which permit wireless projection from iOS and/or Android devices that are not Miracast-certified.
Panasonic provides multi-device wireless functionality support for various platforms including iOS, Android, Mac PC, and Windows PC that delivers more free style and collaborative meetings and group works.
The Memory Viewer function in the VW345N and VX415N enables PC-less presentation and will project JPEG/BMP files, as well as video files.
USB Display Function is available for users who want to display contents from their personal computers with a USB cable.
All projectors from VW340 Series are designed with a 1.6x zoom lens and vertical, horizontal, and corner keystone. The models also feature direct power off, Crestron Connected and AMX DD compatibility, 10 Watt speaker.
